Sustainable maternity fashion - good for you and the environment!

If not only the look but also the origin of your maternity wear is important to you, then you've come to the right place. Our range of sustainable maternity wear is constantly growing and we are proud to offer you a wide selection of ecologically responsible and fairly produced maternity wear for your pregnancy and nursing period.

What does sustainable maternity wear mean?

With our sustainability button we label all items that are made from either organic or recycled materials and/or produced under ethical working conditions. You can also use our "Sustainable" filter option to display our sustainable styles in each product category.

Organic maternity wear for pregnancy and breastfeeding

Here you will find a selection of maternity wear made of organic cotton, such as our Cache-Coeur Maternity and Nursing Shirt white or our practical Double pack of Organic Maternity and Nursing Tops grey/black. Fashion made from organic cotton is also particularly suitable as pregnancy and nursing nightwear because of its skin-friendly properties.

The use of genetic engineering and chemical pesticides is avoided when growing organic cotton. Garments made from 100% organic cotton therefore contain no harmful substances that could irritate your skin or that of your child. In addition, growing organic cotton uses less water than growing conventional cotton. Often organic cotton also comes from smaller cotton producers and secures the livelihood of farmers and their families through better wages and prices.

An important label for fashion made from organic cotton is the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate. This confirms that a garment has been produced under strict social and ecological guidelines.

By the way: Here you can find not only maternity wear but also super soft baby clothes made of organic cotton!

Maternity wear made of TENCEL®

In our range you will also find maternity shirts and maternity trousers made of TENCEL®. Perhaps you are now wondering what exactly is hidden behind this term? TENCEL® (or Lyocell) is a brand name of Lenzing AG for an industrially produced fabric made of eucalyptus from sustainable forestry. Because eucalyptus grows back quickly and hardly needs to be watered or treated with pesticides, maternity wear made of TENCEL® is not only particularly skin-friendly but also environmentally friendly in the manufacturing process.

From old to new: maternity wear made from recycled materials

Why produce something new when so much old is "left over"? We celebrate the trend towards recycling in the fashion industry! Maternity wear made from recycled PET bottles, for example, helps to reduce the amount of plastic waste and is super functional at the same time. The 3 in 1 Eco maternity coat with baby carrier insert black is made of 27 plastic bottles and keeps you cuddly and warm. We love!

Recycled materials are also used in many of our nylon changing bags!
