My Big Wedding

If you're getting married with a baby bump, you have two reasons to celebrate! However, you do need to take into account your particular circumstances. We've been working with brides who are also expectant mothers for more than twelve years now and therefore know exactly what you want for your big day.

Picking the right time

If you get married during the early stages of pregnancy, the nausea that often occurs might make it hard to feel like celebrating. And if you wait until close to your due date, you might end up spending your wedding day in the delivery room. That's why we recommend scheduling a wedding during the second trimester, between the fourth and seventh months of pregnancy. Most pregnant women feel pretty good at that stage and still have plenty of energy.

What to wear underneath: shapewear and underwear

The most important basis for your wedding look is comfortable underwear that will create a beautiful silhouette but not restrict your tummy. Such as our Mama Spanx Shaper or the Seamless Shaper, if you want a little less shaping. Invisible and therefore perfect under tight clothing. On cooler days, you'll want to wear our maternity tights. Their natural skin tone gives you beautiful legs, even in winter.

The perfect outfit

At best, you should look for a wedding dress about four to six weeks before the big day. Whether short or long, the main thing is that you like it. This also applies to the cut. We have tight-fitting dresses that show off your baby bump and create a great silhouette. If you would feel more comfortable in a slightly wider tailored dress, you should choose one of our A-line dresses such as one of the material wedding dresses from our Freya and Vivienne lines. Important: you should mark your empire line with a sash or a belt here, too. The slimmed down optically and also looks advantageous at photos.

Mamarella - Bridal Styling for Mothers-to-Be

This video shows you some of our favourite maternity wedding dresses. Alena, in week 30 of her pregnancy, will show you how to mix and match our bridal fashion for mothers-to-be and the accessories and bolero jackets to match. For the party after, she's wearing our ballerina flats in nude, specifically designed to be worn when expecting. Yes, baby!
